The Evil (yet strangely hilarious) Gallery of Yog-Sothoth

Welcome, stranger. This here site showcases fun images of Cthulhu you can find on the web.If you know one I've missed, submit it to yogsothoth atte nyder dotte comme (removing the clever little spam-foiling device) and get a free link. For more weirdness, visit the Crystal Palace Dinosaurs pages.

2007 UPDATE: No, I haven't updated this site in a while; years, in fact. Problem is, I started this site in 1999,  when the Internet was a lot smaller, my free time was a lot more plentiful and H.P. Lovecraft was a new and exciting thing for me. Since then, all of those facts have changed, and somehow in all of that trawling through the web looking for pictures of Great Old Ones has become a lot less of a priority for me (I should add that I still like Lovecraft, it's just that he's less of a read-all-the-time thing and more of a read-when-I'm-in-the-mood thing now).  I thought for a while of turning it into a Cute Overload-style blog, but that would still mean committing time I'd rather commit to other things. And yet, judging by my statistics, people still seem to like this site, so I don't want to take it down. So, for now anyway, I'm leaving it to stand as a kind of museum of Things Cthulhoid, but also putting up this as an explanation as to why it's no longer a dynamic moveable feast anymore.

The Disclaimers

With the exception of public domain images and those images for which I can't find a contact address, all of these pictures are used with the permission of the copyright owners. If you like an image, please, if at all possible, write to them care of the links provided before using it. The Internet runs off courtesy not legislation; let's keep it that way as long as possible.

If you are the copyright owner of one of these images and somebody's nicked it off this site without permission, however, I take no responsibility. Likewise if somebody has falsely claimed copyright on an image which is in fact yours (cos how am I supposed to know?! Now really). You'll just have to hunt the perp down and kill them yourself. If you find I've used an image of yours without your permission, please contact me so that we can sort things out good and proper; the only reason I didn't get in touch in the first place is because I didn't have an address for you.

If you've been trying to hotlink to an image on this site, you might have noticed that I've got hotlink protection enabled (i.e. the image won't show up on your site). It's not that I don't mind people taking images from this site, subject to the courtesy provision mentioned in paragraph one, but if you do, I'd much rather you downloaded it and hosted it on your own server rather than stealing my bandwidth and making me pay extra money to support your site.

Finally, some of thesepages are either commercial or linked to commercial establishments. The fact that I mention them here should not necessarily be taken as an endorsement of their products-- Ijust happen to like their graphics. And I take no responsibility should one of these sites go down or take their product off the market-- and no, I won't take down the picture, either. This is an art gallery not a clearing house. Oh, and although this may seem obvious, I'm legally obliged to say that I'm not responsible for the content of external websites, either.

For obvious reasons, this site looks better in commercial browsers than in obscure ones. And yes, it also looks crap in older browsers which can't support css. You bolshy Luddite anti-capitalist types will just have to deal with both.
